| SNAKE SATURDAY ST. PATS DAY PARADE IN NORTH KANSAS CITYScheduled for Saturday March 10, 2012The entry fee this year has doubled!!!! Last year it was $50.00, this year it is $100.00!! Deadline to register with the Parade Council is Feb 24th. Entry fee also has to be turned in by that date. Here is a link to the website if you would like to find out more details! http://www.northlandfestivals.com/home If there is enough interest we will ride. The entry fee would be evenly divided amoung our riders.
SO, if you are serious about riding in the Snake Saturday Parade on March 10th, post a reply. We will try to determine cost and how to turn in your portion of the entry fee. |

| I have a couple of other suggestions for the St Pats Day Parade that have cheaper entry fees:
LEES SUMMIT: Emerald Isle St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2012, Line up at noon, Parade starts at 1:00 pm Entry Fee $30 (fairly good Parade Route, comparable distance to the Snake Saturday route in NKC) New this year is the planning of a traditional Irish Breakfast, which will take place the morning of the event, and after the parade a Downtown Pub Crawl. Link: http://www.downtownls.org/parade
SHAWNEE: St. Patrick’s Parade Sunday, March 11, 2012, Line up starts at 11:00 a.m. Parade starts at 1:00 p.m. No entry Fee (this is a very short Parade-down Johnson Drive starts at Morovia and goes east to Neiman then ends) Link: http://www.irishamericanclubofshawnee.com/paradeinfo12.html
Let's start some chatter about which parade most of us would like to do. Deadline for all is Feb 24th
P.S. Mad Toto's are riding in Brookside St. Pat's Day Parade like they always do on Saturday March 10th. I really wish they would sit one out so we could do that one.

| I had a blast at the NKC parade last year, but I'd be into whatever the rest of the group decides upon! |

| I emailed the Lees Summit Parade organizer to confirm the entry fee. I got a response that was very positive and the entry fee is alot lower than I thought (only $30). Below is the exact response I got:
"Hi John, We would love to have a scooter group in the parade! If you're not representing a business, please use the nonprofit/family rate. Thanks!"
That means that the entry fee is $30 instead of the $75 that I thought it would be. With the entry fee being only $30, when we divide that up between the riders, it would be a VERY small cost per person!!!
I think we should consider this one! We could head out in time to grab some of the Irish Breakfast!!! But please post your preference.
Don't forget to get some KC Scooter Riders logo gear to sport while riding! Visit our on line store at http://www.cafepress.com/kcscooterriders

| I think Lee's Summit for $30 sounds like a winner. The Toto's web site is up again. You do have to register anew. It looks like the this years rally has a GAME SHOW theme. |

| Cool, We are going to have a blast. Gary and I have season tickets to the Missouri Comets Soccer Team and we have been going to Lees Summit all season for Watch Party events when our team is out of town, We have experimented with several different roads to get out there and have found some curvey, hilly, secluded roads to ride on. The trip out there and back should be just as fun as riding in the Parade. |

| In! Are we allowed to throw candy?
I don't think I'll be strapping in Paul's boom box to my scooter, since I don't think the music could be heard very well last year. |

Unfortunately the rules for this Parade are like all the others, you can not throw candy, but if we had some walkers they could handout candy. And you are right about the boom box, with all of our horn honking no one could hear the music. |
